Head of Operations

We are seeking a hands-on Head of Operations to serve as the operational backbone of our company. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of the core daily activities across our bakery and four coffee shops, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Key responsibilities

Operational Leadership: Manage day-to-day operations across all sites, ensuring the business runs smoothly while driving consistency in standards and procedures.

People Management: Act as the primary support for shop managers and bakers, leading recruitment, performance management, and training. You will be the first point of contact for all HR queries.

Financial Control: Execute the budget set by the Founder, maintaining tight control over employment costs, waste reduction, and operational spend.

Health & Safety: Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, food safety standards, and allergen compliance across all sites.

Strategy & Data: Analyse sales and retail data to understand trends, making recommendations to enhance performance and profitability.

About you

Experience: You have proven experience as an Operations Manager, Area Manager, or General Manager within food retail, hospitality, or multi-site operations.

Skills: You possess excellent organisational skills and a solid understanding of HR processes, employment law, and food safety requirements.

Attributes: You are practical, proactive, and comfortable "rolling up your sleeves" to support the team.

Requirements: A full, clean driving license is required for this role.

Role Detail

Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days per week.

Travel: Travel is required between sites.
