We currently have a vacancy for experienced and reliable Barista/Bakery Assistant (Part time) at our takeaway Hatch in our Bakery HQ off Newport Road (Riverbrdge Business Park, CF23 9AF) . If you’re good with people, are able to make great coffee and have a commitment to excellent customer service, then you sound like just the sort of person we’re looking for. This role will involve some lone working, so would be ideal for someone confident, organised, and self-motivated.

Key requirements:

  • Fully barista trained

  • Strong experience using coffee grinders and maintaining coffee machines

  • Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (essential)

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Confident working independently

  • Good communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and serving high-quality coffee

  • Front-facing role: welcoming customers and visitors to the Bakery

  • Providing outstanding customer service at all times

  • Supporting bakers with small tasks as required

  • Assisting with sandwich preparation and food making

  • Carrying out basic admin tasks (spreadsheets, food labelling, etc.)

  • Co-ordinating the Hatch rota with fellow part-time team members

  • Receiving and checking deliveries from suppliers

  • Communicating with colleagues across our other three shops

  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the workspace

Overview:
3 - 4 days per week, Tuesday - Sunday
Normal hours between 7.30am - 2.30pm
Approx 21 - 28 hours per week
Some potential weekend work

Hourly Pay:  £12.21 per hour (21 years +) / £10 per hour (18 -20 year old)
